MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – Quazar Capital Corporation is pleased to announce the sale of its client, Pictura, to a financial investor.

OUR CLIENT: Pictura is a privately owned company providing high quality large-format display graphics to a wide range of customers across the United States. The Company specializes in large and complex graphics using state-of-the-art digital photographic and inkjet technology for various customer needs, including corporate identity programs, custom trade show displays, indoor advertising, and fine art production. Pictura has developed a national reputation as a high-quality producer since its inception in 1983.

THE SITUATION: Charles Specht, principal of Pictura, had planned to sell the company in connection with his exit strategy into retirement. Mr. Specht desired not only to maximize his value received for the company, but also to align the company with additional talent to continue its growth into the future.

ENTER QUAZAR: Quazar was engaged to help prepare the company for a sale transition and market the company in order to maximize the value of its customers and its talent.

UNIQUE CHALLENGE: Pictura produces a unique product mix, serving a specialized niche in a variety of markets. While interacting with several types of industries, it is not a traditional graphic arts company or promotional materials producer. Quazar approached strategic buyers from multiple industries as well as financial buyers and was able to demonstrate unique value and performance as compared to related industries.

THE RESOLUTION: Quazar marketed Pictura on a nationwide basis, attracting multiple prospects from many different markets. A financial investor was approached by Quazar and identified as an ideal compliment to the existing business. The entrepreneurial spirit and the strong sales and marketing background of the investor made for an ideal addition to the organization.
